I'm really wanting to update my trailer some. Its a 2005 tandem axle boatmate. Here's a pic as she is now.....

I'd like to add some new rims. I like these and planned on just going with the 14's since I believe thats the stock size. I don't want to worry about any mods to suspension or fenders (etc...).

http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w126/scotties2006/Boating/trans155lug.jpg

Am I correct in that the stock rims are 14x6, 5x4.5 bolt pattern with 0 offset?

Now the problem is that the website I was looking at is "out of stock". They do have the 15" version in stock.

The 15's are 15x6, 5x 4.5 bolt pattern, 0 offset

So, will the 15's work on my trailer without any additional mods?

Here is what my trailer would basically look like with the change...

Thanks

The bolt patern should be 5x4.5 on your trailer wich is the same as Ford Ranger, Explorer and 5 lug Mustang. I put some 14x6 ranger wheels on mine. Here is a link to see before and after of the wheels.

I put 15 inch rims on my last trailer. No sweat just use a 15 inch tires that are same height as stock 14 inch tires. No modifications needed. Plus is you can get 8 ply trailer radial for 5 bucks more than 14 6 ply radials because they are more common.

Here is a picture of my 15" wheels I put on last year, also added a matching spare. No problems with clearance. You should be fine...

Saltare, in your post.. "just use a 15 inch tires that are same height as stock 14 inch tires". What size 15" tire would this be?

Fman, What size tires did you use on your 15's? Will the standard lugs work? By the way, yours looks real nice. I like those rims alot.

My original was 225 14 75, new size was 205 15 75. They were almost the exact same height.

I called shadow trailers http://www.trailerandtruckparts.com/ (http://www.trailerandtruckparts.com/)today to place my order for:

4 of the 15"x6" rims, 5 on 4.5 bolt pattern with 0 offset
4 of the 205/75R15 radial tires (C class with 1760 lb rating)
1 of the F2 winches (been looking at these lately)

My total should be around $850 with free shipping

I was hoping for a better than advertised price, which is why I called, and was told they would check on availability and call me right back.

4 hrs later and no call. So, I called them back and talked to the same guy and he said he had been busy and would call be right back. Well, now I'm ready to call it a night and still no reply. Its not like its a major problem to have but irritating nonetheless. I may just have to go elsewhere.

Update....

Now 3 days later and still no return call from Shadow Trailers. So, I called one of their competitors and they were more than willing to help and with overall better pricing. If anyone is interested in these wheels or anything else related to trailers, I'd call them. There name is Pacific Trailers. Here is a link to their site... http://www.pacifictrailers.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=catalog.catalog&catId=1791 (http://www.pacifictrailers.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=catalog.catalog&catId=1791) Ask for Robert.

I ended up going with the 14" Transformer 136's and Carlisle ST205/75R14. I'll post up pics when I get them installed. They are backlogged and I should have them in 2 weeks.

Thats a great price! You will love the wheels, they are good quality. I'm surprised Shadow Trailers service was so bad. I had a really good experience with them.

Yea, I had read over on Moomba where they did you right. Unfortunately, I didn't have the same results. I'm just glad I found the other guys...Pacific Trailers. Judging from phone calls to both places, Pacific T seems like a much smaller business than Shadow and therefore have more time for their customers. Again, just my experience.

Oh, almost forgot...thanks for the inspiration on the wheels. Your trailer looks GOOD!
