We made out first attempt at kiteboarding last night but got caught in some storms and only made two runs. Seems like a ton of fun!

Anyone have experience with some beginner tips for us?

Heres a link to the youtube vid, not the best because I was trying to drive and record. Might have better clips later from my other buds on the boat.

What size kite are you using? Bummer the weather shut you down. Which way were you driving- into the wind? Across it? Couldn't tell- nice vid for driving though. I have been out twice with a kite set up behind the boat, once on a semi-windy, stormy day. Driving almost into the wind seemed to give the rider some more stall time on airs, but boat driving was difficult and the tower on the MC we were on made extra funny noises. The calmish day we went out it seemed the kite was slowing the rider down, coming up short on the wake, but most likely was operator error as controlling the kite is tough. My kiteboarding experience is mostly limited to the ocean- but from your vid, the rider needs to use the kite more. Way eaiser said than done. Nice work all around man. Good luck

I've been wanting to try this. I need to get my boarding skill level up first though. Good job. Looks like a ton of fun.
