Hello everyone. This is my first post. I have been reading up on everyones thoughts over the past couple of months and I am very impressed with the knowledge that everyone has on Supra boats. I finally finished rebuilding a 1985 supra comp and took it out to a river last weekend and I have never been so excited about getting back to the water. I just wanted to introduce myself and I am open to all ideas...

Glad to hear that another Comp lives. Toss up some pics of the before/after when you get time. Hope all is well and enjoy the new boat.

I have a stupid question. It makes me feel retarded even asking it, but what is the difference between a comp and a ts6m.

Alright. Well mines a 1985 supra ts6m comp?...... re built the floor, new hei distributor, plugs, wires, tower, rebuilt trans. I was having an issue with water in my fuel. I Re-mounted my gas tank vent, drained the tank, carb., and all the lines. Took it out for a test run last sunday and it ran great. I have a little bit of wet sanding ahead of me, but no big deal.

The ts6m and comp are the same boat, same hull design. For a period boat was called a ts6m comp. Supra eventually dropped the ts6m term and kept the comp. The comp term basically stands for competition, as in competition ski boat.
