It may work out fine...I don't think I need the hardware at all and it will certainly reduce the shipping cost.

How did those seats work, is it simply two separate seat mechanisms on two separate pedestals connected by a piece of pipe?

Works for me! It's two seperate seat poles and then one slide mechanism... One half of mine is broken and I've been limping by on it for a couple of years.... This is a hard piece to find! What did you end up putting in?

Basically what I'm trying to say is that I think that the saltare seat is mounted on two seat bases and poles and they are joined by a piece of pipe...

I called UPS and gave them the demensions and approx. weight of 50lbs and to send the whole unit to ontario would be $237.34......so if you wanted you guys could work it out and see what you wanted to do. let me know what ever you guys decide.

Well, if you can clarify my previous questions about how the seat is mounted to the bases we can figure it out from there...if it turns out I have the hardware I need, I only need the actual seat and wotan can have the other stuff...

What is the weight of just the seat...or rather how much would shipping be if that were the case?

Its 2 pedal stools and 2 rails but there is no single bar connecting the 2. Its just 2 seperate peices it looks like.

Shipping just the seat I estimated it to be about 35lbs and the demsions UPS said it would be $199.96 packaging included and 3-7 buisness days.

37inches LONG x 24inches HIGH x 24inches WIDE

I guessed the weight without the poles around 35lbs

I guessed the weight with the poles around 50lbs

Thanks man, you rock. I don't need the poles either...just the seat. It looks like Wotan and i are gonna split your asking price on the seat, so I imagine he'll contact you for the slide bases...hell maybe someone else needs the poles and you could make another few bucks while helping someone find a part.

I'll look into the shipping options tomorrow, but the seat is as good as sold regardless.
