I really want to get a center windshield made for my saltare...tried Jim at viper, no response so far, and tried the manufacturer twice with no response. A bunch of detailed pics would be very appreciated and very helpful.

On a side note...is it just me, or in this day and age of limitless communication options is it not slightly pathetic that many companies seem to be unable to send a simple e-mail response in a timely fashion?

yes, I'm pretty sure they are the same...lots of pics from every angle would be really helpful!!! If it easily comes off the boat, it would be nice to see how the hinge side is made as well. I think that it's just a C profile that slides into a C profile on the passenger window but I'm not sure as I've never seen one in real life.

Thanks a ton in advance!!!

Hope this helps with your project, i think i saw like universal windshields before that you give them measurements and they build it custom, i'll see if i can dig up the link

Wow, thanks a lot man!!! You really came through on that one, and quick. Only problem is that our windows appear to be quite different from each other. No biggie though, i think I have a better handle on it now.

Mine doesn't have the side windows that open, and the top edge of the whole windshield profile is actually rounded...weird...I thought this stuff would be pretty standard for a few years.

ya unfortunately when i talked to supra they lost all the info on stuff from the early to mid 90's which blows, but gotta make the best wit what we got

Yeah, i got that same info...however, the oldest manual that is in the library on this site practically completely applies to your boat. Right down to the wiring diagram in the manual, your dash will look different from the manual, but the wiring remains the same. Verified this on my 1992 saltare already.

Ptown,
I have a '92 Saltare as well. I can't take any pics of my windshield until Wed. I would be happy to send you some if you still need them. That center section is curved just a little. Although you could probably make a flat work.

Yeah, please do, that would be really helpful.

Ptown, here are two pictures of the curvature of the center windshield. I hope this helps. And I'm sorry for the delay.

Cheers
