Wakeboard Boad HELP [Archive]

I'm a complete newbe to all of this, I just let a nice 87 Sunsport slip out of my hands due to not knowing how good of a deal it really was. I've found a 1996 Ski Centurion Falcon w/ an openbow, and I'm not sure about how good these boats really are. I know in 93 supra went to fiberglass stringers. I know nothing about Ski Centurion's, I know this is a supra forum but can any one help. I love the sunsports, but the only thing that is a must is that I get an openbow and direct drive and I'm looking in the $6K-$9K range which puts a real crimp on trying to find one with fiberglass instead of wood. Thanks for any HELP

You can totally find a 92+ (they made both wood and fiberglass stringer models in 1992) in your budget with patience...don't make the same mistake I did and jump at a non supra out of impatience when you really want a supra.

bh - I think most of us know the feeling of letting one get away. Dont beat yourself up over it. It's a big boat market and you'll find something nice with a little time.

I beleive there is a Centurian forums group out there. I did a quick search on WakeWorld and people are saying the Falcon is Centurians slalom boat and not recommended for wakeboarding.

Thanks for all the help guys, it really is appreciated. I've been checking craigslist religiously, and will continue to do so, I think the boating market will soon be flooded, as summer is coming to an end. And I hope to find me a good winter project. I've took the advice and I think I'm going to hold out for a sunsport.
