My middle son, now 16, landed his first "tantrum" on Monday (July 26th, 2010)

He's been working on it all summer! Video link provided . .

Nice Work! I didn't land my first until I was 19. It's good to get started early, tell him to keep trying the big moves... he'll regret it later on if he doesn't keep pushing it.

Congrats to him. I bet he is pumped and ready to go again. I just landed my first a couple weeks ago and now i can't stop.

Wonder if he will develop the same syndrome I have ... Now everytime we pass a boat I gotta throw it.

I can't watch the video (at work...filters). But, congrats! I wanna learn at least one invert before I hit 40.

Okie - check it out at home then. The boy is STOKED! It makes me feel good to see him so happy doing what he loves! He did land on his head many times before landing it, but after the first time, he did two more pretty easily (or so it seemed).

That's sweet. He made it look like he's done that many times before. Congrats.

That boy should be stoked! Very cool trick Clint.....Your wake looks great and I'm pretty sure you're not running any ballast in there......

Seeing that happen probably made all the work you did on that boat EXTRA worth it, right???

Thats awesome, he pulled it off with no problems.... oh man, I wish they had wakeboarding back when my back was not destroyed, I would love to try some flips..... just cant get the balls to take the risk! for me, no back = no paychecks.....

Congrats again for him!

Thanks guys for all the positive input - the boy still has his head in the clouds! I wonder if his brothers will get inspired to try any inverts and I wonder what he will attempt next?

Awesome tantrum.Tell him to learn more tricks. I am 39 and still throwing backrolls. I have been landing them for about 7 years and it feels awesome everytime. Dont stop trying young or old. I tried a raley last week, disaster. I was so sore but wow it was fun to try.

Csuggs,

Might want to consider getting him a helmet! I almost got a concussion last year smacking the water... These are by far the best on the market.... blows Hyperlite or Bern helmets away.... pricey, but worth it! the model with the built in ear protection is great, and they are super light weight and fit like a glove.

Thanks Fman - we've talked about getting him one and now that you mention it, I think I'd better do it. I'll check out the one you recommend. Thanks again!
