I know this info is on here somewhere, but couldn't find it this morning. How do you post the large pictures, as opposed to the thumbnails?

Clint, you have to host your pictures on a different website that allows remote linking. Photobucket, for example, allows you to upload pictures, and link them to a different website.

Once you've uploaded your pictures you need to link directly to JUST the picture. Photobucket has a link organizer next to your pictures. Just select the one that is only a web address and paste it into a reply on these boards. It need to be in between the tags that Ptownkid put up.

I'm sure I've managed to be confusing, but I'm no good at explaining this stuff. Just thought I'd try to help. LOL

No worries csuggs...

As Mani said, you need to host the pictures somewhere, photobucket.com is great and free and takes seconds to create an account. Next to all the photos (once you've uploaded them to photobucket) there will be several different options containing the needed code or address for that particular photo.

The way the img tag works is that you surround the address where your photo is located with and and it will display the photo full size within the page for you.

so let's say your photo is located at http://www.photobucket.com/csuggs/photo1 to embed the photo in your reply, you have to use the img tags around the address like so...

[*img]http://www.photobucket.com/csuggs/photo1[/img*]

REMOVE THE *'s, I had to break the tag code so it would display the text instead of trying to display my fake photo.

Looks good. You're also posting pictures correctly. ;)

There you go...nicely done! One thing to pay attention to when posting photos in this manner, is that you don't stretch the screen too much by making the image too large. I tend to make my photo uploads 1024x768 max

Nice job Clint. I agree on the picture size. I usually make mine 800 x 600 when I upload them to photobucket.

Sorry about the size guys. I'm looking at the pics on a 24" monitor so it's not a problem. I wasn't thinking about everyone else. These should be resized for a 15" monitor.

Someone please let me know if this is right because they still look rather large on my monitor.
