Does anyone here have a seadek pad in the Mica color? I am going to be purchasing a new pad, but apparently black is not warrantied by them because of shrinkage. I have a black/tan/fossil boat, so my only other color choice is "Mica" which matches the top deck and interior of the boat but I would like to see a picture of one installed before I purchase. My current platform is black, the Mica color is tan and is going to stand out a lot more than the black.

Any pics appreciated. Thanks...

Don't get me wrong. I think this pad is a huge improvement and looks great. Unfortunately have noticed a couple wear and tear things that lead me to believe this will only last 2-3 years. But for less than $200, and the soft cushy feel, I am not disappointed enough to regret the decision. I do have a beginner board with some pretty good size fins that probably did most of this damage. http://www.ulring.com/Default.aspx?moid=4537http://www.ulring.com/Default.aspx?moid=4538http://www.ulring.com/Default.aspx?moid=4539http://www.ulring.com/Default.aspx?moid=4540

Ok, guess the links to my photo server do not work. Let's try this.

Travis,

Are you paying for the kit to have a pattern made? none of the supra platforms
on the site look like mine - and I really don't want to pay the cost and SHIPPING
for that design.

I am pretty sure your platform is like mine? It's not a smooth curve, but angular?

Never mind - I just looked at your photos, and yours IS the rounded one. Wonder why
mine is the different one ... crud.

Hmm... I though the 24's were the same as the 22's, do you have a pic of what yours looks like?

here you are. Notice it's not a smooth curve, but straight to a point in the center
of the back. Sea Dek swears they've not made one of these!

You can also see why I want the rub-rail - it's getting pretty beat up with the bars
off:

WOW, I wonder if you got the special proto-type model, it looks cool... I would think Skiers Choice could give you an explanation.

Are there any other 24 SSV's on this site with a platform shaped like that? I always thought they were all rounded off.

I have the same exact boat as TG and and will double check my boat this week to see what my platform has. I am pretty sure mine comes to a point as well. I will let you know what I find out. Maybe the platforms come to a point only on the Gravity Games Editions.

I checked my boat last night a 2008 24 SSV Gravity Games Edition and it has the swim platform that comes to a point. I pulled up the owners manual for 2008 and looked at the specifications starting on page 19 where they have pictures of the different style of boats. The Sunsport 24V and the Launch 24SSV show the swim platform that comes to a point. All other boats had the rounded swim platform.

SeaDek has a pattern for all the rounded ones - but evidently not the one we have.

And it's pretty danged expensive to get the pattern - even though they take
the cost of the pattern (but not the shipping, which is OUTRAGEOUS) off the price
if you actually buy the pad.
