Recently purchased a 1989 supra comp t6sm Classic 351 with borg warner tranny.
What should be on there for a prop? the one on it is not enough prop ,Key way shaft, and tapered.
The one that is on it is a 3 blade michigan 13x14 right hand. I am quite certain the prop is not the original equipment.

Give JT Nettle a call over at nettleprops.com. He has the best prices on props anywhere. Tell him you were refured from the supraboats.com forum.

Mine is a 13LH13. I have no way of knowing if it is the original diameter / pitch, but I am very happy with its performance. It has been recently overhauled, so i know the stampings are accurate (it didn't match the stampings in pitch when I took it to the prop shop).

Shouldn't you have a Left handed prop?

Nice buy Dennis. Post some pics.

Welcome to the forum. You'll find a lot of help with getting it back in shape and if you ever are looking to do something with it, this is the place to ask questions and get responses.

Dennis when you buy a new prop from Nettles it's a CNC machined prop that is a bit more expensive. If your boat has a 1:1 trans, the stock prop would be a 13x13 which is more of a speed prop. If you do mostly skiing I would stick with this. If you want a bit more hole shot you could try a 13x12 or even 13x11.5 if you do some wakeboarding. All I do is wakeboard and surf so I use the 13x10.5 for heavily weighted boats. My top speed is about 35. :)

However if you dont need high performance you could save a bunch of money and get a used prop that is not CNC but cast brass like the one you probably are currently using. At ski-it-again.com 13x13 or 13x12 cast props are pretty common.
