2009 22SV - Stuffing Box

Just replaced old stuffing box with new stuffing box supplied by the dealer.
Still getting some leakage. Is this a common problem or should it be completely dripless. Had a Mobius LSV before and it did not have a watercooled prop shaft like the Supra.

It will always drip unless you get a dripless. I thought all of the 2009 Supras came with dripless systems???

The wax-rope ones will always drip and should be adjusted to 2-3 drops/minute.

hey did you just replace the seals or the entire dripless system......did you check your alignment first?

Whole system was replaced and prop shaft was realigned. Like the previous post thought all systems were dripless out of factory. Continues to leak albeit not as bad as before. Yet still disappointed after paying $600 to repair.

why was it not covered under warranty? did you hit something? the seals can be damaged if not installed properly
