Water leak

I am new to the vdrive, I have a water leak at the rear of my transmission. Looks like it is coming out where shaft goes into transmission. Any ideas would be helpful. It leaks when boat isn't running

You probably need to tighten your shaft log packing nut. Check your owners manual, it should tell you how to do it. Mine was leaking tonight but I left my big pipe wrench at home. Guess I'll adjust it Monday night. You want it to drip once every 15-30 seconds. Good luck.

Thanks that fixed it, it looked like it was leaking out of transmission, but it was spraying up the shaft. Thanks again for the help
