Does anyone know where I can buy a new plug for my ice chest for my Supra? I've been using a whiskey cork and it doesn't quite fit. I called my Supra dealer and he said he had absolutley no idea who to contact?? This should be a common issue.

Im not sure it came with a plug? I bought mine used so i cant say for sure. I have been using a wine cork that doesnt really fit.

Hopefully someone can help you (us) out.

Parts department at my dealership had them. Basic plug that you screw to adjust the diameter of the plug. Works great and now when my ice melts I at least have cool water.

I bought my boat new and it didn't have a plug. Went to Wal-Mart and bought the one described above in the boating section. Brass with a black "plunger". Screw it tight so the rubber expands. Works perfectly, holds tight. About 3 bucks if I remember right.

I have seen that. Will likely pick one up today.

Thanks

I have one like that and one that just has a T on the top of it that I find a bit easier to use.

I have the one with the T on top as well, however the ends of the T are pretty pointy. They can puncture cans every once in a while.

Same here - never had a plug, use the one described above with teh "T" because that is what I could find. Wal-Mart has both kinds.

Boy, ya'll are lucky. I keep close tabs on my plug since it's a smaller diameter than the one used for the bilge.

Ah yes, another one of the minor things about my new boat that bugged me. They can't even throw in a $2 plug for the melter, or seal it so it wouldn't leak through the fitting.

I did as everyone else did, got one at Fail-Mart.
