Hey Gang,

I picked up a 83 Supra Star and have been replacing the stringers and floor. I am ready to route the fresh air hoses at the rear of the boat. Since they were not routed when I got the boat I don't know how they should go. I searched the site and found a couple of pics. I don't think there is enough room behind the tank, so I'm think along the side and then under the rear seat and then through the floor. Let me know what you think.

What is the grey stuff?

One more question, I measured all my fresh air fittings and they are 3 1/2 inches. I was going to replace the hoses and the new ones come in 3 & 4 inch diameters. Which should I get?

Thanks again,

Is the first picture indicative of your configuration? Do you have any pics of your current configuration so we can see where hoses could be routed? The grey stuff in the last picture is bilge paint.

I should have been more clear. Those pictures are of boats I found here at SupraBoats. The first picture is most like my setup.

Which size hoses should I order?

Thanks again,

If yours is a lot like that first one, I'd route the hose like they have it. The first one is the style that has the molded in ski locker. The second has the plastic drop-in ski locker, which allows the blowers to be placed on the transom easily.

You probably are best going with 3" hose. Discount Inboard Marine is a great source for the hose.

Ive seen the setup in the first picture ...( its my lil ride )hehehehehehe

Okie , one of my winter projects is to try to cut out my ski locker and make it where i can remove it....... kinda hard working on something behind the tank , not much room......be a whole lot easier if i could just pull out the inner ski locker . ..... a friend of mine does fiberglass work for his job , think we could come up with something
