Bittersweet day: this evening, I sold the first boat I ever owned, my 1999 23 foot Reinell.
By all rights, I should have sold it 2 years ago when we got the new one, but it didn't happen until now - we bought that boat BRAND new. A whole LOT of memories went with it - but now I can rest assured, it's finally sold!
Man, this boat was what I learned how to boat in - rough water, break downs, the whole nine yards -- what a great boat it is.

What's that saying... The two happiest days in a man's life are the day he buy's his first boat, and the day he sells it.
I had mixed feelings for that exact reason when I sold my last Supra Launch which I had for 8 years. That was a year ago and those feelings wore off fast.

Yeah, bittersweet indeed. I bet that was tough.

She looks like a nice one...at least you have upgraded and have another one to continue all the good times in!
Todd, how many hours did you have on the old one? Congrats on the sale, but I must say... the Supra is a HUGE upgrade!

Travis,
I don't know - it didn't have a meter, but I CAN tell you, it was WELL used!
I agree, the Supra is a big upgrade. The other boat was better in rough water, but
that's just a difference in the type of boat!

You have to get another hobby. If you can afford two boats sitting around time for another place to throw the money, maybe a drag car, or how about a hot air balloon.
