Hey Guys,

I am getting ready to buy a new prop because the boat is alittle sluggish out of the hole. I have about 2000lbs of ballast weight and it just takes a while to get up on plane.

I am looking at OJ props, but not real sure which one and how it will effect the boat. I'm not to concerned about top speed, we mainly wakeboard and i dont get the boat over 30 often. Any advice?

An drawbacks or issues with different props?

Yes..you have to call the prop guys on these. Call OJ..call acme..and they will ask you how you plan to use your boat. I did the same thing with acme, 30 mph tops and 1700 lbs ballast. I eneded up with a 14x14RHx.105 cup= HOLYSH*T!! Hold on!! :D

I talked to OJ and they recommended a 13x11 3 blade, but I didn't know anyone running that prop. Does that seem right.

Maybe..some will say that the trans on some models cant handle the 4-blade and then you will here some guy saying "I have been running a 4-blade on my for years now"?? Not sure wh's right..check with your local mechanic and other sites for more opinions. Props are tuff man. Jet

The 13 X 11 LC 1" 3-blade is a good option for the 1:1 transmission if the boat is loaded for boarding. Any transmission ratio can run a 4-blade without an issue, as long as the size is correct for the engine/ratio.

Yes..dont be afraid of the 3-blades, they have way more surface area (for pushing) than the old lil 3-blades.
