Has anyone replaced their interior carpet w the Seadek platform padding?? I own a 2000 Santera and was thinking of updating the interior by getting a couple sheets of the Seadek padding. Wanted to get some pros and cons from anyone that may have done it! Any other source I should consider?

Bad ...

You may also want to post this question over on Wakeworld.com forums ... there is quite a bit of discussion over there in the past about SeaDek

I was thinking the same, and being that the carpeting is 10 years old in my boat, it'd definitely help in updating the overall look as well!! Any other places sell that stuff other than Seadek??

Ask some Epic owners how it's holding up on WW. Epic has had SeaDek floors since at least '07 and they should be able to give some good feedback. I've had a SeaDek platform pad since early '08 and it still looks new.

If your floor is not made of wood, you are good to go. Another common thing is snap out carpet.

Mine has the snap in now, just looking for another option that may retain a little less musty aroma!! Hahaha

i have a 88 prostar that I have been fixing up and I put a vinyl floor in it that has the big circles for traction. I think its going to be great just spray it out and its clean but to be honest we have only had it in a month so not sure how well it will hold up. If i had it to do all over on my supra I would have put the faux teak sea dek that is on my supra's platform in the whole boat for flooring. I think I will do that in my next supra. ITs held up great on the platform so far. I love the look and feel of it

I contacted Seadek directly, just to give you guys an update. They said that right now they don't make a pre cut faux teak for the shofar but could make one easily if dimensions were provided. If I ordered the sheets of it, hoe many you think it would take to do the interior and swim platform??

I completely removed the carpet from my Supra Beast and installed solid teak. I would have to say, much better. Easier to take care of, extremely fast dry time when floor gets wet. I am extreamly happy. The cost would be less than half of the "sea deck" or Flexiteak. Al

I just installed hydroturf in my 90 Saltare. Its alot like seadeck just cheaper. Most boats I have seen with seadeck or hydroturf has 1/2 inch gaps instead of closed seams. I did closed seams. My thinking was that it would be less water on the floor. I sealed all of the seems with contact cement. The seams are still visible but it looks much better than it did before I started.

Hydro turf seems "hard" to me - the sea dek is "softer", but cool!
