Here's a little surfing action behind an '07 22ssv. Not as much weight as I like on the boat that day but still a good time.

Damn what ocean is..I mean what lake is that? I have a little 1/4 to 1/2 mile run that I get at my lake for our quick trips. That looks like a 4-5 mile run. WOW! Nice man. The color of that water scares me though? Looks like soup. lol

Ha. It's Utah Lake right next to Provo, Utah. The lake kind of has a bad rep because it's shallow and silty (hence the water) but I love it for the quick morning sessions. It takes me 5 minutes to get there and it is huge. I think about 150 sq miles.

Here's a link to a better shot of the lake (just seagulls, a kid, and a view on this one - no riding, sorry)

sorry I am late to the party. Here is my offering

http://youtu.be/vT14F4CGGNI

We shot some footage with my iphone on the last day we rode. When I got home I winterized it and the next day we got over a foot of snow and freezing temps.

Also, I think Jets wife rides better than me, so hopefully you guys aren't dissapointed. I was trying to get the toe side wake to wake down before the end of the season. I had to cheat a bit with the editing to make it less boring. Otherwise it would have been all heal side entry with one or two toe sides.

I have a ton more footage in HD but only used that to grab stills when I was exactly doing a grab of some sort. This summer I promise some better footage with more tricks.

Also, I had a complaint or two about the language on the song. I think the only "bad" words were right at the beginning. If you have kids, or wives around, or just dont want to hear it yourself, then here is the alternate with cleaner music

ALso those dock starts were needed. My dry suit had a bad zipper, so I was in a 3mm wetsuit. The other 2 guys were in 2mm shorties! water temp was just above freezing

Great videos guys! I really enjoy watching and it makes me want spring to get here sooooooonnnn!
Here's a couple of mine, 1st one at Summersville Lake in 2010 towed by my 86 Supra and the 2nd in the new pond in my side yard on February 18th - only 2 days after the pond thawed - towed by my son's Subaru Legacy GT - "official tow vehicle of the 2011 Winter Pond Games" ;)
Njoy!

This is my favorite. Its my family out for a morning cruise waiting for the wind to go down on the prairie. Every time I write another check for something for the boat I tell my wife "You can't put a price on happiness right" as she rolls her eyes. HA

Stinky..no prob on the skills man, Its all fun right. Last year I got my swith down pretty good, heel side out in the flats, but my toe side Im omly making it 98-99% of the way..and some inverts coming SOON! I remember the 1st time my kid got up on a tube a few tears of joy came rolling down. lol.

Hey question..thats a pretty good lip you have on your wake is that your comp?? And what weight and where are they sitting?

stinky_1

that was the wake on my 77 nautique with no ballast. I had 2 people in the boat and one rider. Driver and passenger weight was around 400 lbs in the observer seat and driver seat.

Speed was around 21 mph, rope length was 65 - 70 feet from the back of the boat. My tower is mounted pretty far forward so we lose a bit there. The actual length was 75 feet.

Hopefully I can get a bit more ramp on the sunsport. I have not had it in the water since I bought it.

Hope that helps.

OK sticlke..on your heelside edge out, no bending at the waist-keep stiff..and on the turn in, lean back on your heels and SET-THE-EDGE Very important, you should always (unless resting) have a edge in the water. Your flat with the water and sliding foreward instead of setting the edge and turning-that will give you more stability and more speed. Just some tips man. Oh and I recognize the 12-13 year old fake wave, I have one two. lol

is ghost lake a good place to ride. from red deer and looking for somewhere different then sylvan

Hey Royal,

ghost would be about a 1.5 - 2 hour drive from red deer. You have a few lakes closer that may be better. I have never been in Sylvan.

Gull lake is ok, but very shallow. if you dont know the lake you could be in trouble.

We go to glennifer which is just south and west of red deer. it takes me just over an hour to get there, you should be able to do it in 30 - 45 minutes. The lake is smaller, and take a long time to fill up. But during the week it is dead quiet. On the weekend you need to be out early in the Am, or late in the PM to have the water to yourself.

ghost is also brutal on the weekend. the water is cold. Prolly the coldest lake in AB besides minewanka. I go there because it is close to me (takes 45 minutes from my house and in the water). Also depending on which way the wind is going you have a LONG flat smooth section mostly to yourself. If your looking to go just let me know. I need to increase the size of my crew. My boat or yours, doesnt matter to me!

LMK
