I am purchasing an 09 24ssv and I have never winterized ballast. It is not winterized now because it is in the south where it is warm and I will be dragging it to St. Louis where I am thinking I should do before I get it here and I could use a few tips. Thanks

You just have to make sure you dont have any water in your lines. Open all valves and use an air compressor to blow some air through.

I have also been told to put a capful of bleach into each bag, just to keep mildew and mold from growing while it sits stagnant over winter. Not necessary for winter protection obviously, but probably a good idea.

Also, make sure your strainer is empty (if you have one).
I do the bleach, but caution you to make sure you are aware of where the openings are so it doesn't drain out on your carpet.
