14" wheels are getting harder to find with wheel sizes getting larger, you might jump up 1" and open your market a little bit.

Most trailer tires are 5 on 4.5 correct??? Why not add some rims with a zero offset and then put some LT radial tires on it. Does a tire have to be branded ST on the sidewall ??

I was thinking on running some 20's on mine with a 35-40 series tire. Since the trailer is single axle I would have no scrubbing of the tires during turning. Want to match the truck summer rims and tires.

I'd be careful going with big rims & low profile tires on a trailer. Yeah, they look sharp but trailer tires are more apt to bang off curbs & drop off pavement on turns - so you gotta be careful. My buddy's replaced 3 18" rims/tires on his tricked out Malibu trailer from accidental curb surfing. Also, low profile tires don't have much of a sidewall to flex, so the suspension works harder & rides stiffer.

great site.. Since I have and older trailer with the hubs sticking out further then some newer trailer.. Wonder if this will effect what wheels I can select.. My lugs are like bolts like german cars have.. Im thinking im going to order one wheel and try it to make sure its going to work first

I have been putting 18" wheels and tires on my trailer since 2006. As everyone on here says, you do need to be careful with them. They still ride just as nice, but you have to watch out for curbs. I am very cautious and almost never curb by wheels, but if you are the type to run over curbs, etc, it may not be for you. Most wheels can be repaired from curbing as well instead of going out and getting new wheels.
Finding the correct bold pattern is not tough. It is finding the correct offset and finding one with a large enough hole to get the oil bath hub through. I think it would be wise to go to your local tire shop with your trailer and try some different wheels and tires instead of ordering off the internet, cause it is not an easy task to find the right wheel/tire.

I woulde be careful about selecting tires if you have a tandem axle trailer. "Trailer" tires have sidewalls designed for the skidding and roll-over action you get with tandem axles when maneuvering.

They have the best selection, I did not go with 18" wheels because the additional cost was not worth it to me, and I like the 15" style. I guess I am getting old, I also like the added protection if you accidentaly curb the trailer.

These are the wheels going on my VLX.....

Here are some sites I found last year when wheel shopping. I still haven't bought any but these were some of the better deals that I found. I also put in a link to a thread on trailer wheels on WakeWorld.
