It's time to get the monthly picture thread going again.
Post up pictures of what you're working on this month. As always, if you're lucky enough to be hitting the water this month, post some pictures to rub it in :) .
Since it's the first picture thread of 11', let's open it up to off-season pictures too.
Let's see em'!

The kids are on spring break next week, so we're planning on hitting the lake a couple times. This weekend I'll be changing some fluids, cleaning up the boat from storage, charging the batteries, and installing this new toy
(ACME 1235)

I envy those who will chime in here with pics on the water! I'm at least a month from hitting the river. But it'll be better this season because this came in the mail last week...

I am hoping to go pick my boat up from my father in laws some time this month.

I just bought this as well

So Ill be installing that as well as a few other things. I plan to build a hot water shower for the boat, but will most likely happen next month.

Non wakeboard related, but I bought 3 of these as well

Nice stinky! I used to be out riding dirt bikes every weekend. Of course in NJ there are only like 2 tracks to ride in the whole state and nowhere legal to trail ride or free ride on state land and no more private parks. I used to have an '82 IT 465 (scary fast!!) and my favorite was a '79 CR250 Elsinore. That was the bike that changed everything... Long travel suspension was a new thing back then. lol

After NJ cracked down on riding and I had to run from rangers a few times to avoid being jailed and my bikes taken I sold them and gave it up. Tried a few dual sports two stroke and 4 stroke after that, but just wasn't the same. Too heavy and couldn't whip them around like the old two stroke race bikes. Was toying with getting back into it this spring, but just not worth the expense and aggrivation since riding is illegal in NJ.

Have fun with those new bikes!!

Unfortunately it is much of the same story where I am. Anywhere you want to go involves loading up on trailers and driving for a while. I get out to a great place in BC once or twice a summer, but thats a lot of money to have invested in toys to only use 2 or 3 times a year.

This year I will be modifying the boat trailer so I can bring 2 bikes with me any time we go to a lake somewhere. That should hopefully help change things.

Okay they're not March and they're not boating, but it's what I spend my time doing off the water. And the first one is taken on a lake at least!

wotan, the view looks nicer ON the beach. :p

I'll see if there are any good pics. I went out with a friend Saturday and we did a little boarding and surfing behind his boat. Pretty good day! Wate was 53* and air was in the low 70* range.

It is shiny, isn't it....Acme 1235 Propeller 4 Blade 14.5 x 14.25 LH 1 1/8 Bore

Chrisk - looks cold

We had 93 air, 60 water today. New prop was good, although, I didn't load the boat too terribly heavy since we dragged my mom out there with us. Absolute best part of the day was seeing a dude jumping in the water to wakeboard wearing a stinkin drysuit..... yes, that's right, a DRYsuit, not a wet suit..... Again, it was 93/60 today. Even my 16 year old daughter was out there trunkin it today

That's some extreme tubing, for sure! He may have landed it but was it a smooth landing?

blaze5012

Surprisingly it was actually relatively smooth, i think it was because the rope helped pull the front back down on the way down.

Yes the steering wheel is going on the boat, It looks just like the new supra steering wheels with more leg room. And the bikes are 125 pit bikes for my older boy who is turning 14 next week, I bought one for him, brought it home and built it and said WOW, this looks fun, I want one-so I went back and bought another one for me!! And then 1-razor electric for my 8-year old.

p.s. stinky they are small but they will still kill you. lol

We bought one of these for our 8 year old

http://www.giobikes.com/Dirt-Bikes-in-Canada/Pocket-Dirt-Bike-49cc-2-Stroke-for-Kids/

He loves it. The battery powered ones are cool too. Its nice to have that 2 stroke tearing up the place too sometimes.

We have a couple 125 cc bikes for my wife and guests. they are a blast! Especially when you can pick them up for pretty cheap. Good cheap fun for when you cant be on the water. Are the wheels on those 10" then (rear)?

jet
03-27-2011, 11:25 AM
Stinky that 49 cc is awsome. My 8 year old is already hitting me up for the 70cc. These things are very fun...I think mine are 12"rear 14" front. Going riding this morning. Damn cold fronts..Its like 45 outside right now.

Those are pretty much exactly the same as the 125's we got then. I agree, they are a blast. We rode those for the last 3 years. Last year I picked up a 250 and rode that for a couple weekend then sold it. The pics I posted above of the 250 is my new one. Ill be running that while my wife rides the 125 and I am hoping my son will keep up on that 50 cc. They have mini quads as well that are the same just with 4 wheels. We had a couple of those 2 years ago.

The neat thing is that little 50cc thing can carry my 200 lbs butt around as well. Its nice not having a clutch to deal with. Just crank the throttle and go. It makes for a good learning step. Plus, with my 8 year old he is big enough to feel more in control of it. When we had the quads they scared him pretty bad. I am hoping to get him on a 50cc 4 stroke with a 3 speed auto next season. I just need him to be comfortable on this first.

Have a fun ride. We were playing in the snow up here on the bikes last night in our back yard. Cant wait for it to all melt.

Nice Pics!
It will be awhile until we can be out on the water here. There is still over 3 feet of ice on our lakes. The Missouri river is open now, but air temps have barely been above freezing. You guys in the South are pretty lucky.

This was my winter project. Besides ordering goodies for the Saltare.

Cadunkie your going to love your Perfect pass. I install one last year no more complaining about the speed. You will get the same pull every time. Where in the dash are you going to install it. I replaced the tack with mine.

I was going to remove one of the speedometers. I figure I don't need two since the PP will read it too. After seeing yours though, I may put the PP where you did and move the tach up in place of the speedo as the tach is hard to see while driving and I don't imagine futzing with the PP after setting speed and such.

Do you have any pictures of your paddlewheel install from inside and outside? I'm nervous about drilling the hole and getting the right spot and all. Will probably be doing the install in the next week or two after I get the boat back from the upholstery shop.

Hi jet
The dash pad is made form …. I hate to say it a rug I got at Home Depot . I made a template out of thick paper first . It works grate you can through stuff on the dash and it just stays put.
Cadukle
My PP is the GPS version. Sorry I can’t you with the install. I run on a river with about 2 mile current most of my pulling is skiing and the skiing setting it is RPM based . When you first start up there is some tuning involved after that the speed is dead on. Both systems work grate. The GPS version has speed ,RPM, clock. Engine hours and some other stuff . My speedos are just for looks now.
