Hello this is my first post. I have a 91 sunsort I bought about 3 yrs ago. This is my first boat and I enjoy the hell out of it. I got it from a guy i work for sometimes, he bought a Tige and retired the Supra. It had been sitting uncovered for about 2 yrs prior to me buying it. I cleaned her up and had to replace starter, ignition switch, and remove the coil pack and put distributor on it from Skidim. After setting the timing she fired right up. Im in the process of give it a total makeover. The paint was pretty faded and could not get it to hold a shine. I painted the top half of the boat, and will be getting a wrap before summer officially hits. took swim deck off and sanded and painted it. My hobby before my boat was car stereo competitions. So needless to say it recieved a killer sound system.

Looks great! Nice speakers in the rear bench seat! Possibly consider a 2nd battery and isolator if you dont have one already. Also if the boat was uncovered for two years it would be a good idea to test the floors and stringers to make sure they are still strong.

I have 3 batteries now and the floor is strong, I live in west Texas. Not alot of rain and pretty dry climate here.

Nice...welcome. So is that sub box in place of the ski locker once it was done?

I'm totally confused by the color scheme. Blue carpet, red swim platform, pink (faded burgandy) piping, and blue LED's. What color is the boat?

well like i said im giving it a makeover, original color of boat is a dark blue hull, the top rail is white with purple stripe. My new wrap will be black, red, and white. Hence the red swim deck, And new upolhstry to soon follow. It will all tie together eventually.

This reminds me..I want to replace the blk rubber matts, NO not with sea-deck for like $200..just some good ideas on some DIY products. How would you cut them so perfectly?? Need to replace the front ones too!

Ahh, that makes more sense. Definitely take some before and after pics of that wrap. I'm real interested in seeing how that will look. Trying to find a red Saltare is like trying to find a virgin at Mardi Gras. So I've been contemplating a wrap. I'd love to see the details on who's doing it and how it looks. Please keep us posted.

Jet is this what you are looking for? It matched the factory product but I think it’s a little better quality material. It comes 3’x4’ and I cut this out with a strait edge , utility knife and tin snips. If so I’ll find out it’s called.

Man that looks factory done, nice job. But yes thats what Im looking for..but also like going around the boat labeled stuff and like to find stuff you can buy at local walmarts or lowes. Its just a challenge for me to engineer something not made for it but look and work better that the factory. It just makes it more fun for me. On important stuff like props, wakeboards and gear and my wifes bathing suite..I go ALL out!! Like she needed a $950 board! lol

Hi jet
The dash pad is made form …. I hate to say it a rug I got at Home Depot . I made a template out of thick paper first and it just lays there. It works grate you can through stuff on the dash and it stays put.
The rubber mat material comes for sandos sports www.sanosports.com I think that I used part # 2951. I hear you HD, Lowes . But the important stuff we think alike.
