Hull and deck seal

Can water come in the deck and hull connection. Is the bead of caulk the only thing keeping out water?

Yes it can. The deck and hull are merely riveted together and the fit is tight in most cases but can leak. Just be sure that you have a good silicone seal - 100% silicone from the hardware store.

Thanks for the input. I will need to use a black or dark caulk so it will not show up and match. Can u get it in colors?
