I just bought a 2003 SSV. The tower looks as if it was never lowered and the rear mounting bolts you turn by hand are frozen.
I'm trying the WD-40 soak trick, but wanted to see if there was any other tricks to break these free. The forward bolts that use the 5/16" allen wrench were tight but I was able to loosen them with a little persistence.:p
Thanks for any suggestions.

Oh one more thing. I think the tower is the stainless steel version if that matters.

Well, thanks to the local Supra dealer, my boat is safely tucked away in my garage. They used a bolt extractor and we were able to free the bolts without having to drill them out. Once the tower was down it went into my garage (with only a couple inches of width to spare!)
They put on the new Supra knobs that are much better than the original 2003 versions.
They also were able to free the swing-away tongue which was over tightned.
Now all we need is spring!

New Supra knobs? What do they look like? I believe I have the standard issue 03' black knobs. Thanks...JGates

I think these are the same knobs used on the '05 towers. Still black but softer knobs.
