The manual for my 94 Supra with Velvet Drive calls for 20w-20 SG oil. I was able to buy a couple of gallons 8 years ago from Tractor Supply Co that has lasted me this long. However, I have run out and TSC no longer carries the 20w-20. They have a couple of choices that are close -
1. SAE 20, non-detergent motor oil
2. Universal Tractor Trans/Hydraulic Fluid that is 10w-20
I've had real good success with the original 20w-20 and would hate to switch. If there are any petroleum engineers on this forum can you tell me if either of those 2 choices are acceptable substitutes?
Or, do I bite the bullet and do like everyone suggests and switch to Dexron III?
