I installed a 2nd battery and a Sure Power 1315 last year. My Alternator never seemed to charge my Aux battery but my main was always fully charged. So this year I decided to get a new 105 amp Alternator thinking it would fix the issue, nope. Now I'm thinking the Sure Power isn't working correctly or I have it hooked up wrong. Does anyone know if the Sure Power needs to be grounded? I know there are 3 prongs for a switch that combines the batteries. 1 prong is a ground but since I didnt hook up the switch I didn't install the ground.

Thanks,
James

I connected the ground and also the start wire, but I didn't connect the signal wire terminal. My 1315 seems to work just fine, it charges both batteries. I would hook up the ground or neg. terminal for sure to the neg side of battery.
