Replacing a steering wheel?!

Has anyone replaced their steering wheel?! Any issues or complications? Wanted to update mine as the metal is looking a bit weathered and the outer portion is crappy vinyl wrapped!! Thoughts?!

Don't know about your year/model, but check if your current steering shaft is tapered or splined. Mine was tapered & had a hard time removing until I found some metric screws (the only metric I found on the boat) to thread into the hub for the gear puller. My new (well, new NOS surplus) helm is splined, so I picked up a splined MC wheel off of ebay. Also, check the wheel diameter so you don't have interference with knees & such or change the feel.
