boat will not accelerate

Help.
I've not run my Supra in a couple of months. It started great but would not get over 2400 rpm.
The guages all look with in normal limits.

Is your timing advancing properly? What carb? Are the secondaries opening? Fuel level correct in each bowl?

not boat-specific, but in general if that was happening to me, i'd hit the carb with a couple good shots of carb cleaner, maybe even pull the fuel line and try to get some carb cleaner into the float bowl that way. If that half-assed attempt didn't work (which it usually doesn't) i'd try taking the carb apart and cleaning it up correctly.

It would help to know what boat, motor, hours, recent service and year we are talking about here
