Max Play In Strut Bushing

I have a 94 TS6M with 630 hours. I know the recommendation is to replace the strut bushings after 300 hours so I expect mine is about due. But does anyone know if there a spec on the max allowable play of the driveshaft? I can move mine around maybe .010" (just an estimate at this point, I plan to check it with an indicator next week.)

Also, are the vesconite (XPC) bushings better than the standard bushings?

Sure enough, the measured play was a little over .010". I did find a spec in the back of the transmission manual that says the clearance should be .005 to .007". Guess its time to replace.
