when I set trim and turn boat off trim goes back to down position.when I turn boat back on shouldnt trim go back to position I set it at?also when i set trim the gauge seems to go beyond the point i need it to go.any ideas?jon

What year boat do you have? but no the trim goes down to its detent take off position . This is so the boat gets up on plane quicker. You will notice that once up at 20mph or so the plate will then automatically go to 50%. Unless you have engaged your perfect pass with different plate settings. I think

DOC is right...it always goes down 100% for planing purposes. It will automatically adjust back up, or you can set it through perfect pass to stay up or down at whatever you pick. You can also set the speed at which it auto adjusts...at least you can with my 08.
