I'm going to be replacing my dripless shaft seal this weekend. I've read all the tricks to get the coupler off the prop shaft, but I don't see much about how to get it back on there properly...I'm hoping that's because it's so simple?
For a 08 22ssv.
Anyone have any input?
Thanks!

If it is a taper fit it just needs to be bolted back up to seat into the taper. If there is also a key, fit it in place before tightening. It should be that easy.

thescott,
Some guys say to heat the coupler up in the oven so that it will expand before putting it back on the shaft. I would only do that if I felt like I was having trouble getting it to seat back onto the shaft. Try just tightning it with the nut first.
