View Full Version : Free stuff!

I'm a bit of a pack rat. It's not that I save stuff because I think I need it... I save it because I just hate the idea of throwing something away that someone somewhere might need someday.

It seems wasteful and I just can't help thinking, "oh man... if I ever needed a replacement cleat and knew someone was just throwing them away I'd be so sour!"

So... That leaves me with a bunch of "junk." Trying to clean out the garage and figured this stuff might be useful for someone on here. All free. You just pay shipping or come pick it up and it's yours.

If not... no big deal. Easy enough to throw this stuff away.

Prop shaft. Saltare OEM. 48" x 1" around. Needs to be used with an old style coupler. I had the OEM check it for straightness and they balanced it. I decided that the key-way was mildly worn and my coupler was shot so I upgraded to the new thread-on style. I think this would work for someone as-is. No nuts or other hardware. Shaft only.

GONE!! Cover. For Saltare. Has cut-outs for a tower that I'm sure you'd have to have modified/patched. Also just found out that a mouse decided he needed a piece of it over the winter. Snaps on above the rub-rail. 8 years old but still in really good shape. I believe it is sunbrella and the entire outside has webbing stitched in for strength. None of the thread appears rotten so it should still have a lot of life left in it. Comes with the two tent poles. It's got to be better than no cover at all, right??

Cleats. For some reason I only have 4 of these... where did the other 2 go? No idea! There are 2 different sets (which is also weird.) I replaced them with pop-ups.

GONE SuperTrapps A full set. I did ditch a few of the plates that were on there from the factory as I broke off one of the center bolts on my boat. Those plates are gone forever but I never had any problems in the 6+ years I ran them that way. Everything else is there including nylock nuts and washers. I'm sure they'd polish up nice and they look good now.

GONE Bimini. I assume this is Supra OEM for a Saltare. Hooks and nylon straps on the rear (I think.) Plastic O-connector on the front. I took the hardware off my boat and I've never used this. It doesn't have any windows or zippers on it (If I remember correctly.) It is a really lame grey color. Sorry for the bad photos but it's in my garage attic and I don't feel like pulling it down just to put it back up there. Haugy has first refusal on this as I told him he could have it if he wanted it.

Unless Haugy lays claim to the bimini, I'm interested. Thanks for posting these gems. Very generous!

Yeah, I'll take the bimini. It should work for what I need. If for some reason it doesn't, I'll make sure to pass it on to someone here just like Wotan did.

First dibs Haugy if it doesn't work for you. Thanks.

Yes. I never modified them except to change which direction they were facing since they only cover about 90 degrees of the trap. I found that facing down they made the least amount of noise and kept smoke to a minimum. Of course... No replacement for FAE!

How much to ship the cover to toronto canada? I'd love to have one in hand to make a new one eventually, mine came without.

Interesting. I've never seen any other Trapps with those holes. Mine certainly don't have them. I would think that they would make more of a sound difference than a power difference.

Looks like $50 - $70 depending on USPS or UPS. That's assuming I can get it into a 12" x 12" x 40" box (which I think I can.... ?)

USPS would be fine, so please verify if you can fit it...

This is the original snap cover correct? One piece?

It is one piece, but it's not OEM. This was a custom made sunbrella cover. It would work great for someone to use as a pattern or if you want to add snaps to your boat. You'd have to be the luckiest guy on this site for it to fit existing snaps.

Packed down into a smaller box than I anticipated. Was just barely short room for the poles so I'll grab something a hair bigger at work tomorrow and get you a new price. Should work out great!

I would be interested in the cover and the trapps. Would you be able to ship? Do you have contact info? Or could you call Jeremy at 716-665-9405.

Yep. Trapps and cover are gone. I'll update the original posts.

If no one else wants the drive shaft I'll take it. I'm sure in the future with all the logs around here I'll need it.

But that's only if no one else wants it. I don't want to be greedy. :)

If you still have the cleats (bottom two in the picture), I'd sure like to get them. Very nice of you to go through the trouble instead of pitching them.
Thanks, happy to pay shipping to CA.

Hey, thanks for the note and offer. I hadn't realized you had responded already. I found the two I need yesterday at a boat store near me so I bought them. Thought they'd be harder to find but the boat store has a crazy amount of older stuff. Save yours for someone who can't find them near where they live. Appreciate it.
