Medallion guages

I have a 2000 supra comp with dead guages. researched and found out to be the mdc 1600 unit part# 6607 20004 01h purchased frpm medallions 1800 828 8127. $385 shipped same day.guages came to life!!! the only problem is tech support will not return my calls. question is why is this unit full with water ? and why not in a water proof box. do the speedo's have to plugged in or can i run without to avoid the problem. do the speedo's run on air? and if so how do i get the water out of the lines. any input will be helpful. thanks and enjoy the summer..

Just blow the lines out at the mdc side of them and hook them up. When you winterize disconnect these lines as any water that is inside the mdc will freeze and crack the plastic over time and pooch the mdc unit ......some say to disconnect the mdc and store it inside for the winter....I found disconnecting it will allow any water to drain out and left it at that
