Was at the lake this past weekend and my tranny felt a little weird going into reverse. So I checked fluid level and it was slightly below the low mark and checked the v-drive and it also was on the low mark didnt have fluids so just took it easy the rest of the day. Got home and was going to add checked again and both were almost on full mark. So I guess my question is should level be checked on the water or on the trailer? My guess is on the water because thats normal running conditions....Anyone else had this issue?

The engine should be at operating temperature but not running. If you let it sit a while then the tranny fluid can drain back in from the cooler. same for the vdrive..at least its lines.......check it again on the water after you have the motor warmed up. As long as your vdrive light is going out when you put it in drive you should be ok but I prefer to keep mine all at the upper level
