hey guys, just picked up a 87 comp ts6m.. replaced the damper plate last weekend, now on to the transmission, which has smoked clutch packs, stuck in drive... its got a velvet drive 10 17 004, 1:1 ratio. Ive never torn into one of these before, but from what ive been reading it doesnt sound too bad. Anyone have a manual on file, or know of anywhere I can get one? I found a pdf of a scanned manual for a velvet drive model, but it wasnt the exact transmission I have, and was hard to read.. been searching this forum, but cant seem to find what im looking for exactly.. if anyone could direct me to a thread or website with a write-up with pictures on a rebuild, or a service manual with pics that would be great!
