Well I bought a 1986 Supra comp TS6m about a month and a half ago in cape cod for $3600 and decided I wanted to build a budget wakeboard boat.

Despite all the nay saying about the comp throwing a crappy wake it is easily fixable by throwing 6-7 people in her. Granted we are all still pretty basic at boarding it sure doesn't stop us from trying backflips, and the boat makes plenty wake for it.

All in all, after the boat I did a basic tune up ( cap, rotor, plugs & wires, oil/filter, fuel filter, and new battery) $200

Big air h20 tower $1000

Stereo: Alpine mrf-300 amp ($200), powers bass mono amp ($100), Kicker km component speakers ($170), Kicker km coaxle speakers ($90), Kicker 10" sub ($40 +spy sunglasses) Kenwood aux. input deck ($130)

Had to rebuild the rear seat frame from scratch, and rebuild the base of the drivers seat, and build the custom speaker boxes. Floor is a little spongey on the drivers side, but I'll fix that once my foot goes through it.

All in all, great deal, runs like a top, now onto the pics. Fun can still be had on an old boat.

p.s. that's me in the white and red trunks half way upside down a foot up from the wake, lol.

My dog loves the boat too, she chews the water at cruising speed.

Looks great, and like you're having fun on the water. That's what it's all about. Sounds like a stringer job is in your future, but glad you're enjoying it now.

Nice looking boat.. When your young there is nothing better then having a boat! I still say the Comps look the best out of all the supra'sin the 80's - 90's

im almost certain it will need new stringers in the near future, but I am going to try and get the most out of it before I have to tear it apart.

Sharp looking boat there. I really am digging the interior as I have that exact same scheme, kind of gray with the different colored stripes running through it. Mine is actually in the shop getting the upholstery done and we decided to keep the same color scheme with the stripes. I just rebuilt my rear bench, shoot me a pm if you have any questions.

Good for you. It's all about having a good time on the water and I'd bet that you're having just as much fun as people with $100k in their boats.

You've got a good starting point on that boat!

Thanks guys!

Yeah definitley having fun. Just got my wetsounds tower speakers in today. Buying some racks pretty soon.

I believe the alternator is either dead or wired improperlly from preivous owner, but nothing unexpected from a boat that sat for the past 2 years.

Went out again today, buddy landed a backflip off the comp, we were all pretty stoked. Unfortunately we didn't have the camera in the boat for wakeboarding but we got a couple of tubing photo's. Enjoy!

Also got my wetsounds xs650 tower speakers on and they are awesome! Except my alternator isnt charging the battery so it died on us out on the water, luckily not very far from my house.
