I am in the process of selling my 24SSV and I am considering a 242. Looking for opinions on how the 242 is for wakesurfing. My 24SSV was pretty good, but better on the goofy side. I needed to run my 24SSV at around 24 mph to get a clean wake most of the time for wakeboarding. Is the 242 the same? How about width of wake, is the 242 a bit narrower?

Just looking for some input.

The 242 is an amazing boat! So much bigger than the 24SSV. I actually only wakesurf and I love the 242. We have an 1100 lb bag on the surf side and it is great with the wakeplate all the way up at about 11 mph. It is not very steep but has a very long pocket, great for spinning. We have got a great wake on both sides of the boat. The starboard side is actually a lot steeper than the port. With no ballast and 3-4 people in the boat, we have got the wake clean at 21mph. Like any big boat, it crumbles below that. Depending on the ballast, you can get it clean at any speed above 21 mph. We run with about 3000 lbs at 24.5 mph and its awesome at 82.5 feet. It is a little on the narrower side to me. Go demo one. You will not be dissapointed.
