Does anyone have any recommendations for an auxiliary remote/control pad that I can mount by the drivers seat and/or towards the swim platform so that I can control the cd player/radio?

Alpine also makes a round system that fits right into one of your existing vent holes.

No. The alpines only work with the alpine units.... except for the waterproof key-fob type one.
