She runs great has 736 hours. Has no blowby with 150psi +/- 5 on all 8 carries 30psi of oil pressure warm at an idle. The tranny pulls good and fluid is clean.
Had a new prop, strut, and propshaft put on just before I got it thanks to a low floating log.

I am thinking she was well taken care of as the stingers and floor are solid as a rock.

This is my first inboard and the first one I have ever driven. Almost didnt buy her because the lack of stearing in reverce.

Solid stringers/floor - show off. Looks like a great find. Inboards are great - just spend some time at the wheel & you'll quickly get the hang of it...

I have taken her out by myself twice trying to get the hang of the way it handles in reverse.

The few other people that where on the lake had to think I was nuts in the middle of the lake going backwards.
Putting it back on the trailer was a trip the first time.

I am thinking of geting a perfect pass witch one do my fellow supra owners recomend.
Does the rpm based low priced modle hold speed ok for wakeboarding loaded heavy with balast or is it worth the extra 500 for the gps modle or maybe somthing out there that I have overlooked.

If you can afford to, go with the GPS model. You'll thank yourself for years to come!

I dont mind to spend the money as long as its worth it.
As long as its easy to use my wife has no problem driving its holding speed that is the problem.

I spend most of my time on lakes with no current so the gps will be ok.
As I do not want to cut a hole in my boat.

Ok big question here perfectpass wake, ridesteady or I ran across one called accuski.

I am on the fence here dont know what to do.
The perfect pass is time tested I have faith they will be around when I need parts(i say when not because I think they have a bad product just it is going in a boat it will brake sonner or later) A bit more money but no need to put a hole in my boat.

The ridesteady is less money witch is always attractive.
However they are a new company.(Big concern is parts and tech support down the road)
Paddlewheel speed sensor will give good speed over water(I have never nor do I plan on boating where there is messurable current)but I dont think I will notice the differnce as the closed lakes are still sans the wind(if the wind is to strong the water is to rough to board anyway).

Accuski anybody know if they are still around.

Give me your thoughts, expirence or just shit you have heard.
I would like to hear from a rep from both companies if possible tell me why I should buy you product.

Just before I started this post I sent an email to hydrophase to my supprise(its after hours I was not expecting to hear from them till tommoro)jason has answerd my questions already that is refreshing to have somome in tnis day and age act like they want your business. It only took about an hour for him to get back to me.

I think the general consensus will be to go with Perfect Pass. They're really the best option for these older boats. You can go with the RPM based unit and then upgrade to the GPS later on and it comes out to be the same price. If you don't mind paying though, just go GPS.

Last point, don't be afraid to cut holes in your baby, even below the water line. There's a lot of us on here that don't even flinch anymore when putting a new hole in the hull. Most of the time you're drilling holes because you're installing something awesome that is going to make your baby even better.

I haven't looked into speed control (yet), but boating is a pretty niche market so I'd stay with the name brand if you're concerned about long term support.

Uhh I dunno bout that, Chris. After 28 holes below the water line (paddlewheel, ballast intake, tab actuators, transom UW leds, platform brackets, etc.), I still pucker a bit before grabbing the drill and some 5200. Seriously, it's not that bad. Anxiety, stress, & usually some alcohol involved in poking that first hole, but it gets easier each time after that (o.k., knock off the virgin analogies).
