Water Coming Out Where Shaft Goes In

I ran my 2008 Launch on a hose, using the flush hose inside the boat that's connected to the engine, and saw water coming out where the prop shaft
comes out of the hull. Is that normal? Water was coming out of the exhaust, but also out of the shaft area. The water coming out around the shaft was
warm. Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

Water is routed to the dripless seal to keep the bearings cool. Perfectly normal and nothing to worry about. It was warm because it's going through the engine first.
