  1. Go to Summitracing.com Crane cam and lifter kit is what you want to start with if you want to start a build on your motor... I'm running a crane power max cam 288 and 292 lift duration... roller rockers are billet industries oem replacements... the valve train kit I got is specifically for the gt40 351, but they have very aggressive cam kits for the standard 351 as well. If you really wanted to go nuts, you do an intake and carb upgrade as well. If you ever have any questions about that, I can tell you anything you need to know.
  2. Yes I did. The only part i didn't do(because I don't have a valve seat tool) was cut my new valve seats. For that I sent my heads out to a local engine shop. I did all the rest(carb work, porting, and valve train). The Engine is basicly stock. The H.O. and the Boss Motor both have GT-40 heads. I'm not a hundred percent sure what all the differences are between the two, but mine came with GT-40p heads(higher compression and different spark plug angle), the 1050 Holley DP performance carb(not stock), PTI computer controlled direct ignition, high flow intake and exhaust manifolds, 4-bolt mains, forged pistons and rods, and high performance crank. When it was stock it was rated at 330 hp or 325hp(depending on were you reference these numbers). I just wanted a bigger power ban, more torque, and more top end power. I was already hovering just under 50mph, I just wanted more. When I am the only one in the boat with less than a quarter tank, I can hit just under 54mph by gps and on my speedos. With my wife and even with two more people we'll still break 50! The prop I am running is the stock prop for the boat. It gets up like a raped ape.
There is a web sight that has all the 351, 351 H.O., PTI Boss GT-40, and Pro Boss GT-40(EFI) engine break-downs... I can't remember what it is I looked it up on google.
I know eventually someone one here is bound to think I'm full of it, so I will take pictures of my gps and my speedometers and tach.
  3. Thank you, and happy Easter to you also! Could you please tell me, did you do all the work on your engine or did you take it somwhere? I would love to hit 50mph! My engine is only 240hp, so mid 40mph is tops!
  4. Happy Easter man!
  5. Nice avatar. Boat has a good profile in the water.
