  1. I guess you know the rope it to tie the new cable to so you can pull it back in. I just assumed you were smart enough to figure that out so I didnt mention in first post, then I felt like I better mention it.
  2. Yea it wasnt that bad. I taped a rope to old cable then pulled it out. Make sure the rope is taped well and with minimal bump because it will catch on everything. I folded mine into a loop then taped it. Remounting the cable was simply just following instructions that come with it. My boat steers so smooth now, it was def. one of the better repairs Ive done.

Me too! My completion rate has grown over the years, but that list has me as little worried that the boat is already taking the back seat and its April.....Shes def. smarter than I thought!
Wanted to get your help in replacing my steering cable....Vince at DIM is sending me a new cable and retaining nut for back at the rudder, is this swap out pretty straight forward????

picking up the stainless staples today and should have it back together tonight. I'm going to leave my air compressoer in my shed and run the hose to the basement for a little noise reduction, should allow me to upholster in to the night. Kinda stalled out on the swim platform, gotta get back on that one. I'm gonna keep working on this beast and see how she looks next spring, don't want to try and sell her unfinished, once she's done might not want to sell her either!!!
  10. Sounds like a nice color scheme. How is your rear bench coming?
