Doug, Call me when you get a chance, I may need a favour! Thx, John 416 827 4600
supraguy, in a nutshell ...NO.......the engine has to be super hot so the tstat is open, and that allows the block water out,not in, and incoming water to be sucked in thru the circulating pump. And then it is only diluting the water in the block. Untill the tstat opens all the intake water /Afreeze will flow right out thru the muffler and exhaust.....There are block drain plugs on these engines for a reason.....USE THEM.....then if you want to be anal , fill the block up thru the top of the j hose by pulling it off the tstat housing...... you have winterized your impeller and exhaust manifolds already tho so you wouldn't have to drain them
Howdy Doc, Hope you can answer my question: I recently winterized my Supra 351 Windsor and this is how I was told to do it for below zero storage. I started her up and poured into the intake hose over three gallons of RV anti-freeze until the exhaust came out solid pink. I am told that this insures that the fluid will displace any water in the engine block, water pump, hoses etc etc etc. Is this info correct? Did I get good advice? Thank you, supraguy
gidde up, AS the homeless signs read here in TO, Will work for boating...Sounds like a great offer, would have a small amount of coordination with my wife and 2 yr old, but am keeping weekends stritckly off limits for work this summer.. Should be spending quite a few of them in Pointe au Baril except for a couple weeks over the 4th of July when we go to my family's cottage in MI.... Have been in Georgian Bay before Victoria Day, say the word and I'm in..... My props a little dinged up from the previous owner and I wondered how much its affecting my performance, it s maybe not even a good wake prop as I seem to have a lot of top end speed.....quirks to work I guess, Johnny's first inboard!!!
