I am wanting to replace the mufflers on my 1990 Supra comp with the least amount of effort and with the best result from a noise level standpoint. Looking at Rex Marine stainless because they look like they do not need cut down and it appears the transom flanges may not have to be removed. Anyone have any good advice on this project?
The 1990 comp has rubberized baffled exhaust boxes under the fuel tank. Wonderful job pulling the tank--just love engneering. Stainless noise compensators are great for longevity, but I don't know about heat transfer. I have 2-1991 comps and those mufflers are behind the exhaust manifolds--easy fix. I will check with my supra guru and get back. If you have already done the repair could you please post your fix. Thanks.
