How Cold Can You Go???

Just to pass time while waiting for spring, how cold have any of you wakeboarded or went water skiing? What gear were you wearing for protection if any? Did you encounter ice in your boat? Would you do it again?

This is always interesting to hear about. I'll begin with mine, although my story isn't as extreme as some of you I'm sure.

I picked up my new boat in December. My dealer still took me out for a demo and it was 30 degrees. The launch ramp was covered with ice and snow.

Once we drove the boat around the lake, the small amount of water that splashed into the boat from the wind chop drained into the hull and froze into ice. We filled the ballast and drained it and everything worked well. I was impressed how well everything worked in freezing conditions. I would have been willing to try wakeboarding but the demo lake was too small for doing so.

That's enough about my story. How extreme have you been with boating or wakeboarding in the cold? ;)
