Mine never ran consistantly, rough..good..ok..crappy..it would take 1-2-3 turnovers before starting. NOW, bump..start..bump..start. Just like a efi boat. Super nice. I think also Its pushes more voltage also, so more spark?? Can anyone elaberate on this?

it will make you spark stronger and a lot more consistant. No more point to worry about is the big thing. a points system will work very well when it is maintained and setup properly. Since most people dont know how to do that it makes your boat run like crap.
This is why you have the inconsistancy. Some days its great, other days its a crap shoot if your boat will even run.
With your stronger more consistant spark you will get better start ups (as Jet said). You should also notice a lot more linear power, and consistant power.
the other thing most people may not pay attention to, since your spark is so consistant you can now actually TUNE your carb to run right. Before you would have been guessing, is it the spark or fuel. Most people jump on the carb to adjust since you cant really adjust the spark. So your carb is all out of whack half the time.
Its deff worth while to do the upgrade.

so little update. tower is in the shop beside the boat. monster tower with 4 crossfire 6x9s in a crossfire encloser. traded my pylon and 200 bucks. and in my book thats a good deal.
you traded your pylon and $200 for the tower? I thought I was a wheeler and dealer, but you take the cake!

well quick update on the ole sunsport chased out all the crackes in the top of the hull and it is in primer waiting for a little more nice weather to finish it up. and big news is that i got a job at Skiers Marine North in athens al running the pro-shop and sales. they sale new supras and moombas. so pretty excited about that
