It seems to me the length would be more important also. One boat may have to even be a bit in front of the other if the wave is not as long so they remain even.

kg i was the other boat memorial day... we def have to try it again when skiers cove doesnt have 30 boats in it, it looks like it could be pretty sick
Awesome! Post #1!
Next time we are out swing by and we will work it out. Did you ever get another/bigger sac?
sounds good man. no not yet im tryin to concentrate on getting everything worked out with the stereo before brostock!
This looks like a lotta fun! Good luck and be safe!
I have seen this done in a few videos and I think I can make a couple comments on it. The rider seemed not to be riding a 'merged wave or bowl' but rather just one boats wave or the other. THEN with he went BACK in the pocket he encountered a big rooster tail or spout where the two waves met. This allowed him to surf waayyy back in the pocket and still recover no problem. It looked pretty fun to put two people in there too.
Posted in the Aug thread but figured an example should go here. The team and the bowl ...
We were running about as close as i would want to. We prob could have gotten a little closer but each of us had boards in the racks.
didnt realize this was in general chat .. could prob be moved to surfing
I have tried it as well as a friend. I did the driving for him and you are correct, the drivers are the key and you really have to pay attention. He was able to find the sweet spot with no problem, i couldn't seem too but not as experienced as him. The 2 boats were a Moomba and a Mastercraft. I agree the length of the pocket seems to be the key
Looks pretty cool, but I would agree it seems like it would be a little tricky.
