Nice looking boat!
That rover defender Is sweet. Always wanted one. Sounds like they have the same towing characteristics as the hummer
Attachment 9169 heres what happens when your shop gets slow....I painted my shop truck to match my boat
jonyb - that's a nice collection of boats and trucks. You seem to lean towards GM, but also had a Ford. Some high, some low. I like it.
Thanks! Those trucks are over a span of about 6 years. Started with the blue 1/2 ton, then up from there. I do prefer the GM's over the Fords, but that's just personal preference, especially with the newer trucks. That Ford was horrible. Solid front axle, 38's, stiff springs.... My wife and I drug our boat down to Nashville to Haugyland with the F-250 1 year when she was pregnant, bad idea :(
The fords are tough but do tend to ride like crap.
Nothing better than a suburban for towing.

jonnyb - Nice collection there!!!
Hey, we had a great time there though! SAS's with 38's on the interstate aren't fun.
Here's the current tow vehicle.

Yes, but the storage is up in Florence. The unit is a 10'x30'. With the swim platform and non-folding trailer tongue, a 25' long unit just wasn't quite long enough.
Unfortunately storage that size in Birmingham isn't going to come cheap. You might look at the costs of having it dry stored at lake martin or smith lake if you plan on sticking to one lake.

Okie - I love the new Avalanche!
Well, my tow truck isnt the coolest by any means, but the B**** gets the job done at 7.6MPG while towing.... :(

Thanks guys...we love the Avy so far. It sure rides nice and the wife is happy with it. We've debadged it and blackened the bow ties, along with some aftermarket halo ring/projector style headlights...I should get some updated pics.
I love that Chevy K5 Blazer, really cool looking ride...
Okie and I have the same taste in vehicles...

Awesome!
That's funny (FPG)... Not really to bad empty about 13-14. Pulling pretty much any load from boat to buggies its around 10.. so not to bad for how big it is. I have a 100gal aux tank so i can make some distance without stopping but filling it up makes me want to cry.
Great thread. I don't have a photo of my tow rig.... but.... if I did, I'd have to start a different thread. 92 F-250 that I paid $400 for. Get's me the 100 miles/year that I put on between my driveway and the boat launch, though. ;)
The first one I use all the time... the lakes only a minute or two from the house... the second one I could use but a bit excessive but I think I would win for the biggest! :)
