Round windshield SHOULD mean composite stringers. Mid model year 92 was the changover for supra. He doesn't mention the year or stringers so likely doesn't know what he's got. 55 is less than I paid for a wood stringer 'salt with similar Interior issues 4 years ago - the market is hotter now, so I'd call that fair to low. But it's worth what someone will pay!! Go get it!
Will need a interior 3-4k but even with that its a steal at 5500.
On the up-side, the floor is visible through the holes in the carpet, so you shouldn't have a hard time figuring out if the deck is composite or plywood. ;) If the engine is solid, 5500 is a deal.
That's a very good price for a composite stringer Saltare, despite the small block and worn out interior. Used to be $10k at least for something like that, and no way it would have a tower.
