Great looking job on the boat Middlegriff1. Was curious how well your Tahoe pulls it?
Thanks! It doesn't do too bad, the Tahoe has bolt ons and a tune which makes it night and day over a stock tahoe. I only tow about 5mi but I really need to put some 4.56 gears in it. My main concern was the braking, which is what im addressing on the trailer now.
Looking good. I agree it looks better with the seat back lower. Those kinds of things bug me, too.
Thanks Okie.

Did you get those custom made?

That is amazing. I didn't even know they did that.
I'm curious to see where some of them are going..... the cursor shaped one with the circle in the middle is a real head scratcher for me.
Wotan- I actually tried contacting Seadek and they never responded. Emailed Gatorstep and they were very helpful, walked me through everything. It does take time though. I think from me sending the templates out to them in CA until i got them in was about a month. They have a lot of other projects.
Salty87- Thanks man, my main goal was to throw all these "newer boat" commodities and keep it looking as factory as possible.
For anyone looking to do this, it ran me about $300. I figured I'd rather have a manufacturer finish look for $300 than buying a couple sheets for $170 and have it look like I cut it "myself." Also, the price they give you includes whatever lines you want in your turf except logos. Logos run about 50$ per because of the time it takes the machine to cut them.
The top right is for the side of the Yeti, under is anchor door, long strips, tiny strip, and L's are to cover the "top" where the old teak railing was, two opposites on the left are for the walk thru doors, and the cursor shape is the driver cupholder once i scrape the old junk one out.
Nice job all around. Love the colors and the finished product looks great.
I have a Yeti in the boat, too, with a boat cushion attached with snaps. Pretty weak compared to your setup.
Also, the Gator step stuff looks fantastic. I hope it all fits nicely!
That's the product that I really needed to finish my "project." I never had a great finish material for the upper transom where the teak used to be or the numerous holes from cover snaps, biminis, etc that were left around the top cap of the boat.....
I can definitely picture a sea deck order headed their way when I find my new boat.
Squam- thanks!
Wotan- I was in the same boat until I found this stuff. I'm very happy with the quality and fitment too.
Got all the Gatorstep installed and the new silver decals on.

Looks like the dashboard pad needs some attention. Is that wear from a cover beating on it down the road?
Yes, much attention! Im sure ill wrap it this season because the dash is the only thing that I haven't touched. I think its just old and the original. In the off season im thinking rewrap dash, new gauges, new wheel, and rocker switches with a fuse box underneath.
Beautiful work middlegriff1!
Love the Ford Ranger wheels and caps on the trailer also;)

Thanks Matt, I got them along with a 2" block lift kit off my buddies old trailer because mine scraped the ramp when launching the boat

Had that problem myself last year, concrete must have heaved....had to go to an 8" drop hitch.
Enjoy the long weekend.

Do you have a close up pic of the transom? I would like to see the rub rail cover. Is it the original? Mine is missing and would like to replace it.

I don't have a close up pic but this is the cover. It doesn't fit exact.

Ok thank you I was looking at that exact end cap but wasn't sure it would fit!

Ok that would be much appreciated.

So its been awhile...
At the end of last season I ended up cracking two pistons and sent the chunks into the heads and out the valves. Over the winter I had the motor rebuilt. Its now bored .060 over making it roughly a 468. Forged bottom end, heads have been gone through, everything with wear or any seals/plugs has been replaced or upgraded. Low rise intake manifold and a 750 carb. Also, recently picked up an ACME 541 prop. I went from 36 mph @ 4900rpm to 47mph @ 4900rpm with 3 people and 41mph @ 4900rpm with 9 people. Im very happy with the boat's performance.

Also went to a ACME 541 this season, changed the whole performances : better take off, better acceleration etc.
Still one of my favorite rebuild ! Love the vinyl color.
Did you wrap the dash yet ?
I love the new prop, better everything on mine aswell!
Thanks Sdc. I haven't gotten to the dash yet because Im trying to decide whether I want to do it during the season or after the boat is winterized. I did order my new steering wheel though. I want to change everything to bus bars and labeled back-lit rocker switches, and maybe new gauges?
Middlegriff1,
I love your interior, I'm quite a ways out on my rebuild but yours is definitely a tasteful and clean job. How has the yeti seat held up. I'm thinking toward a more permanent seat in the same location and was just curious what your thoughts were on how it works out.
The seat is working out great so far. Seems to get used just as much as any other seat. Permanent wouldn't be a bad idea. If mine were permanent I would make it so I could store things under and still make it semi-removable just in case any motor work had to be done.
Toymanator- Here's some more pics of the anchor door and gatorstep

Got some time to rebuild the lower dash panel and install the new wheel and remote. Now I really need to rebuild the upper dash with some new rockers and gauges....
